Kissing

Hi everyone,
Today I'm playing along with the Friday Mashup blog. Our friends over there have come up with a great mash up. I love this photo.

The challenge is to mash together the kissing technique with a round project.
I've really never done the kissing technique so I had to go to you tube and check it out. This is kind of cool.
Here is a card I created using this technique.

My card itself is a 4 1/2" square. But my focus point is round. The supplies I used are. Stampin' Up's card stock and inks , Crumb Cake, Regal Rose and Whisper White, with just a touch of Wild Wasabi. Stamps are two back ground stamps, soft Swirls and Print Pattern , also Only Oval. From Spellbinder I used Scallop dies. Large for my focus point and two smaller ones to make my flower, which is made from my new favor thing "The Coffee Filter". The leafy stem is from Tim Holtz. I just used my satin ribbons as tails. I really didn't think it needed a bow, but it did need something.
Here is a close up of the kissing technique that I used.

I inked the Print Pattern background with Crumb Cake and the Soft Swirl background with Regal Rose.I then kissed the two together and stamped my card stock with the Print Pattern stamp. For a little add texture I embossed the back ground with Cuddlebugs big dots folder.
I sure hope you like my card. It was fun to learn something new. Thanks for the challenge.
Bye for now. I'll be back again tomorrow.
HAPPY STAMPING
.

Karen, this card is lovely! The 2 background stamps contrast each other well. This was a new technique for me, as well. Great job! Nice to see you here again at the Friday Mashup!

I love the effect of the pink swirls in the print pattern - it looks like veining! Thanks for joining the Mashup this week.

Beautiful card. I really like how you brought the background stamp into the focal point of the card as well. Happy you could play along at The Friday Mashup :)
