Feb. 1st.

Good morning,
This is going to be one long day. Around 3 am the dogs decided they needed out. They came back with their faces full of porcupine quills. Now it's 6:30 and we are still trying to find a Vet that's open. Our vet won't be in till 9:00 They are so uncomfortable. So while we wait I decided to get today's card done. This will be challenge card number 37 for the year. I'm on a quest to do a card a day for 2012. I'm a little head but I figure just in case I have to miss a day here or there, I'll still end up with 365 cards.
I'm playing along with Stampin 411 today. It's a great sketch.

From Stampin' Up I've used:
Pretty in pink, Certainly celery, and DSP Tea party. My inks are Pretty in pink and Certainly celery. The sentiment is from On your birthday and the flower is from the Mixed Bunch set. I used the matching punch. For the center of the flower I used a retired flower punch.

I hope you like my card. Please stop back again.

Fish card

Hi everyone,
I've waited to the last minute to do this card. It's for the Friday Mashup. This week Kim is mashing up a sketch with something new from your stash. I was waiting for my Stampin' Up order, but it's getting late in the day and still no UPS truck. So I guess I won't be mashing it up. I still want to do it ,so I'll just be using the sketch.

My colors are Soft suede, Crumb cake. and DSP is Thoroughly modern. The sentiment is from Teeny tiny wishes and the fish is from On the fly. I also used the window  and modern label punches.

The mat behind the fish was cut out using a Spellbinder die. A piece of twine finishes it up. I hope you like my card. Please stop back again.

January 30th

Hi everyone,
Today I have challenge cards 34 and 35. I did this first one last night during that exciting pro bowl game. What are those guys afraid to get hurt or something. Talk about boring....Any way for this card I used the Simply Stamping Challenge. It's a great color combo.

I'm working on Wedding samples for another week. I thought these colors would be great for a late fall wedding. This card is a 5 x 7 tri fold card. With it I also made the response card and two favors. My card stocks, embossing folder, sentiment stamp and label punch are all from Stampin' Up. The flowers are from Inkadinkado.

I punched out three labels. One from Very vanilla, one from River rock, and one from Early espresso. I cut two of them in half and layered them behind the vanilla one just to give it more color. My flowers are stamped in Early espresso and water colored with Not quite navy and River rock. I carried the flowers to the inside as well as onto the label. A velcro dot holds the card close. Here is a picture of the rest of the sample pieces.

Now for Challenge 35.
This one is for the gals over at The Paper Lovin' Gals. This picture is so pretty.

It made me thing of my butterfly bush when it's in bloom. So I created a butterfly bush using the Petal prints set and doing a little water coloring

The colors I used are Almost Amethyst, Brocade Blue, and Certainy Celery. My sentiment is from the Upsy Daisy set. The butterflies were die cut with the Beautiful wings Embosslits die and I used pearls to make their  bodies.
I sure hope you like my cards and I thank you for stopping by. Be sure to stop back again.

A Blue Wedding

Hi everyone,
I'm so glad you stopped by. I'm on challenge card 32 and I've been ask to make invitations, thank you cards, and favors for a wedding. Her colors are Marina Mist and Silver. She also wants to keep it simple. I thought the sketch from Try stamping on Tuesday would work great. Here is their sketch.

The girl really likes what I came up with, but wants to change a few things. She wants a little silver add. All my supplies are from Stampin' Up. Here is the Invitation I made using the sketch.

She wants me to change the three brads to silver hearts and that is no problem and the flower border to embossed silver. That's not a problem either. I think it would look good. Here's the inside.

That border will be changed to silver also. Now here's the rest of the samples I made up for her.

The candy dishes that will go down the center of the tables are made using  the Flower folds die. I did three layers and it will hold silver covered chocolate kisses and I used the milk carton for the favors that will be placed at each seat. Here are some close ups.

I will repost this set after I make the changes. Meanwhile I hope you like my challenge card. Please stop back again tomorrow to see my next creation.
Bye for now and HAPPY STAMPING

January 27th

Good morning and I'm so happy you stopped by. Today I've got challenge card #31 to show you. I'm playing along with ColorQ and Merry Monday.

Well I managed to make a Christmas card using red and green. But at least it's not the traditional red and green. I'm just that person who feels any colors any time.
All my supplies are Stampin' Up except for the scallop circle. That is from Spellbinders and the snowflakes on my background is from The Angel Co.
The stamp sets I used are Snow much fun and Teeny tiny wishes.

I hope you like my card. Have a great day and please stop back tomorrow to see challenge card #32

Fly Away Butterfly

Good morning,
I have my card for today all done and ready to show you. This is challenge card # 30 for the year.
Today I'm mixing it up with the Color Throwdown and Freshly made sketches.

I've got this big butterfly stamp from Inkadinkado that I thought would look great with this sketch and these colors. I heat embossed the butterfly and cut it out. Then layer it over my oval with dimensionals to make it look like it's flying right off the card.

I really like how this card turned out and I hope you do too. Thank you for stopping by. Please come back again.
