Sorry I've been gone for so long. Life's been a challenge lately. Things are beginning to slow down now. So I got a chance to make one card this afternoon. Before I show you my card, I want to say thanks to The Friday Mashup for choosing my lantern a couple weeks ago. I'm so glad you liked it. I just love making them.
Also some great news The library here in Genesee where I live has ask me to teach some classes on card making. I am so excited. I've been wanting to do this for a long time. I'll be doing 2 classes a week Wednesday evenings and Thursday afternoon.
Okay now on with my card. The card I made today is for The Friday Mashup Challenge and Sunday Stamps Challenge.
For the friday mashup. Tara whats us to mash up our markers with some texture. You all know how much I love texture.
Hayley from the Sunday stamps has a great sketch for us.
Here is my creation using both challenges.
Stampin' Up supplies
Card stock- Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade, and Whisper White
Markers- Pear Pizzazz and Poppy Parade
DSP- Just Add Cake
Stamp Sets- Teeny Tiny Wishes and Close As A Memory
Folder- Perfect Dots
Embosslit- Beautiful Wings
White twine and pale yellow pearls.
I colored my image and sentiment using my markers. I didn't have any ribbon to match these colors, so I wrapped white twine around a pencil and made lines on it using both colors. After removing it from the pencil it looked like bakers twine. I needed a Sympathy Card, that's why I chose that stamp. But this card is perfect for any occasion.
I sure hope you like my card. Please stop back again soon.
