Waiting for life to be normal again

Hi everyone,
I know, I know, I've been gone a long time. To think! I planned on a card a day for this year and I don't think I even made it to 60. What a weird year this is. I've never had so much to do or had so many things go wrong. I can't wait for NEW YEARS. I need this year to end.
Last night I did manage to make 2 cards for my favorite challenges. The Friday Mashup and Sunday Stamps.
First is Friday Mashup

The mashup is a school theme and a little sewing.
Here is the card I created.

All my supplies are from Stampin Up except for the ABC's. That is from The Angel Company.
Card Stock- Pool Party and Very Vanilla
DSP- Story Time
Inks- Riding Hood Red- Basic Black
I also used the Label Framelits and Paper- Piercing Tool and matching markers.
I didn't feel like setting up my sewing machine so I faked it, by piercing and adding stitches with my Riding Hood Red marker.
I think there's enough apples here to win over any teacher's heart.

My next card is for Sunday Stamps

.

What a great sketch. This was a fun one to work with. Here's what I came up with.

I used a Spellbinder die to cut my sentiment and all the rest of my supplies are Stampin' up.
The cardstock, ribbon, and ink are Rich Razzleberry.
DSP is Floral District
Sentiment stamp is from the Whimsical Words set.

I hope you like the cards I've come up with and  hope you'll stop back again. I'll try not to stay gone so long.
Bye and HAPPY STAMPING

  4. Sometimes life does get in the way of our crafting fun - now that school has started I haven't gotten into my craft room as often as I'd like. But it will come. Both of your cards are great. I love the colouring on your mashup card, and the bright fun paper for Sunday Stamps....that whole package is so much fun. Thanks for playing along with us at Sunday Stamps - hope to see you again soon.

  7. Both your cards are wonderful, Karen!! The Friday Mashup challenge card is so sweet - I love the colours. And I love how you've used the same pattern of DSP for the Sunday Stamps challenge, but separated it out. Very cool. Glad to see you around The Friday Mashup and Sunday Stamps this week :)
