Here it is day 29 of the new year and I'm on challenge card 33. Today I'm playing along with The Clean & Simple Challenge Blog. It's a great sketch.

Most of the supplies I 've used are from Stampin' Up. My colors are Riding hood red, Soft suede, Very vanilla, and the DSP is Thoroughly modern. The ink I used is Soft suede and the punches are build a bird and scallop border. My sentiment is from the angel company.

A Blue Wedding

Hi everyone,
I'm so glad you stopped by. I'm on challenge card 32 and I've been ask to make invitations, thank you cards, and favors for a wedding. Her colors are Marina Mist and Silver. She also wants to keep it simple. I thought the sketch from Try stamping on Tuesday would work great. Here is their sketch.

The girl really likes what I came up with, but wants to change a few things. She wants a little silver add. All my supplies are from Stampin' Up. Here is the Invitation I made using the sketch.

She wants me to change the three brads to silver hearts and that is no problem and the flower border to embossed silver. That's not a problem either. I think it would look good. Here's the inside.

That border will be changed to silver also. Now here's the rest of the samples I made up for her.

The candy dishes that will go down the center of the tables are made using the Flower folds die. I did three layers and it will hold silver covered chocolate kisses and I used the milk carton for the favors that will be placed at each seat. Here are some close ups.

Good morning and I'm so happy you stopped by. Today I've got challenge card #31 to show you. I'm playing along with ColorQ and Merry Monday.

Well I managed to make a Christmas card using red and green. But at least it's not the traditional red and green. I'm just that person who feels any colors any time.

All my supplies are Stampin' Up except for the scallop circle. That is from Spellbinders and the snowflakes on my background is from The Angel Co.

The stamp sets I used are Snow much fun and Teeny tiny wishes.

Fly Away Butterfly

Good morning,
I have my card for today all done and ready to show you. This is challenge card # 30 for the year.
Today I'm mixing it up with the Color Throwdown and Freshly made sketches.

I've got this big butterfly stamp from Inkadinkado that I thought would look great with this sketch and these colors. I heat embossed the butterfly and cut it out. Then layer it over my oval with dimensionals to make it look like it's flying right off the card.

A tag and flowers

Hi everyone,
So glad you came back. Here it is Jan. 25 and I'm on challenge card 29 . Today I'm playing along with The Paper Players. First I want to say thank you for choosing my card last week. I was so excited I had to call everyone I know.
For this challenge Jaydee says to keep it clean and simple and should feature a tag..

I love making cards, where the focus point is a tag. My tag is die cut using Sizzix Scallop tag die. I did have to shorten it a little bit. By papers, inks, stamps and punches are all from stamping up.

Papers: Old Olive, Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery, and DSP is Green Tea.

The happy birthday is from the Well Scripted set and stamped in Old Olive. The flowers are punched out and crunched up to separate the layers, then put back together with a brad. The leaves I punched out using the build a bird punch. I added a ribbon knot at the top of the tag and wrapped a piece around the lower half of the card.

I like the polka dot ribbon with the flowered background. I sure hope you like my card and I hope you're come back again.

Hi and welcome back. I'm moving right along with of quest of a card a day for 2012. I'm now at challenge card 28 and 29 cards for the year. Today I'm playing along with Simply Stampin' Challenge It's a great sketch and one I've never done before. It was a lot of fun. Here is the sketch.

All my supplies except for the buttons are from Stampin Up.

Card Stock: Pretty in pink, Regal rose, Daffodil Delight, and Whisper White.

Ink: Regal Rose

Scallop punch

I stamped my flowers in Regal rose on Pretty in pink and punched them out with the scallop punch. I then matted each flower with Daffodil delight and Regal rose. The yellow buttons make up the centers of the flowers.

Hi everyone,
Welcome back. It's day 23 and I'm on challenge card number 26. I've now made 28 cards for the year. I have 2 different cards for 2 different challenges to show you this time.
First is The friday mashup. This week Rita you like us to mash up Paper Piercing with a great combo of Blushing Bride, Riding Hood Red, and Early Espresso.

My favorite flowers are daisies. Last year I found pink daisies at the green house, they were so pretty and I'm hoping they come back this year.So anyways I just had to do a pink daisy for this card.

The paper piercing I did on the opposite corners. The Riding hood red strip was just laying there and I thought it would look nice going across my card, but it wasn't long enough. So on the other side of my image I punched out a modern label and cut it into. The brads just added a nice touch. The background is stamped with a heart and swirl background stamp that's been retired for a while. My sentiment is from the Petite Pairs set and the daisy is from Inkadinkado. The matting around the daisy is emboss using Cuddlebugs love words folder.

My next card is a baby card using the sketch from Mojo Monday. Let me tell ya, I used up some tiny little scraps on this one. Here's the sketch.

I kept losing my little panels for this one. I must have remade each one at least 3 times. Then I got wise and cleaned up my desk.

So about the glare on this. I just love this stamp set. It's called Baby Bundle. My sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I kept the colors soft, they are So Saffron, Pink Piroutte, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, and Pale Plum. I colored all my images with markers and colored over the words I wanted from the sentiment stamp that comes with the set. I cut out the words I wanted and matched them up to the images. I embossed the background with the Cuddlebug Swiss Dot folder.

Really quick I need to post this card. Time is about to run out on me. This one is for the gang over at the
Color Throwdown.

These are great colors. I wanted to save this one to use with Merry Monday. But they are going to miss each other.

The stamp sets I used: are:build a blossom, button Buddies, and Oval all.

Ink is Riding hood red

Papers are: Old olive, Riding hood red, Craft, and Vanilla

The flower from Button Buddies is the center of my large flower and the button just completes it.

Hi everyone,
So glad you stopped back. Here we are on day 22. I'm now at challenge card 23 and card 27 for the year. I'll probably post twice today, because I need to get this one posted before the challenge closes and it's Sunday, that means football. I hate football so I go off and stamp while it's on. This flue bug is starting to go away now. I am functioning a little better. Today I'm working with 2 challenges. ColorQ and Try stamping on Tuesday.
ColorQ was the hardest color combo I have ever worked with. In the picture of my card, you really can't see the different s between Bravo Burgundy and Rich Razzleberry. but I did use all the colors.

And here's Try Stamping on Tuesday. What a great sketch. I will no doubt use this one again.

I need a birthday card for my oldest grandson. I thought these colors would work good on a child's card.

Most of my supplies are Stampin Up. I used the Bravo Burgundy for my cupcake. I thought it kind of looked like Red Velvet Cake. I did have to add a little Daffodil Delight. I just had to light up the candles. Oh and when I ice a cake I always swirl the frosting, so I used the Cuddlebug Swirl folder to give it that look.

Punch Crazy

Good afternoon everyone,
I'm feeling a little better today. I hate being sick. When I'm sick my husband becomes a big baby!
Today I'm playing along with the paper lovin gals. They have a great picture of some flower to inspire you.

I really went punch crazy on this one. I used 5 punches and all my supplies except the brads and ribbon are from Stampin' Up.

The punches I used are:

Boho Blossoms, Modern Label, Window punch, Bird Builder, and Ornament Punch.

My colors are:

Cajun Craze, Sahara Sand, Wild Wasabi, and White

Inks are:

Cajun Craze, Wild Wasabi, Sahara Sand, and Daffodil Delight .

And the stamp sets are:

Punch Potpourri, Petite Pairs, and Woodgrain Background.

I cut the tip off of the ornament to make my vase. Not my idea. I seen it on Splitcoast and I thought it was so clever. When I punch out my flowers I got some of the little ones too, so I used them to decorate my vase and I tied a piece of twine around the top of the vase. I sat the vase of flowers on the Modern label so it wouldn't look like it was floating. The ribbon added a little more texture along with the wood grain background.

This is going to be quick. I'm really sick and need to go back to bed, but I said a card a day and I'm going to do it. Today's card is not my best. I'm playing along with Freshly made sketches. I wish I didn't feel so yucky, this is a great sketch.

Anniversary

Hi everyone and good afternoon,
I have yet another card to show you. It's day 19 and challenge card 20. I'm now at 25 cards for 2012.
Today 's challenge card is with The Paper Players. They have a great color combo for us to work with.

As soon as I saw these colors, I knew which stamp I was going to use. My card base is Pear Pizzazz and the background is Blushing Bride. I embossed it with the Words of Love embossing folder from Cuddlebug. All the rest of my supplies are from Stampin' Up. The carnation is from the Still Life set and the sentiment is,of course the hardest used set I have. Teeny Tiny Wishes. I use this set so much that it never leaves the top of my desk. I water colored the flowers and leaves and used the oval punch and scallop oval punch for the Happy Anniversary. The white grosgrain ribbon adds just enough to make it elegant yet keeping it simple.

Holiday Greetings

Good afternoon everyone,
I'm so glad you stopped by. Today is Wednesday, but for me it's Merry Monday. It's day 18 of my card a day quest. I'm now on challenge card 19 and a total of 24 cards for the year. Here's the Christmas challenge sketch.

My colors are, Cajun Craze, More Mustard. Night of Navy, and Vanilla. The snow flakes are stamped in Cajun Craze and Night of Navy using Stampin' Up's Serene Snowflakes. I embossed the Cajun Craze C.S. using the Cuddlebug snowflake folder and matted it with Night of Navy C.S. The deer is a single from Stampin' Up and the sentiment is from The Angel company. I punched the snowflake out of a scrap of Cajun Craze using the Martha Stewart punch.

I like using odd colors for Christmas cards. I think it makes them more interesting. Well I hope you like my card. please stop back tomorrow.

Welcome back everyone,
Here it is day 17. I'm now on challenge card 18 and a total of 23 cards for 2012. Today I'm working with 2 challenges. The Friday Mashup and Mojo Monday. Friday Mashup wants us to mash together a thank you theme with some Designer paper. Mojo Monday is yet another great sketch.

Someone needs to take away my Baja Breeze card stock and the gems. I can't seem to get away from them. This is it, for one week, there will be no Baja Breeze or gems.
Most of my supplies are Stampin' Up.
Well I guess you already know I'm using Baja Breeze. But I'm also using Sahara Sand and Riding Rood Red.
The designer paper is Sweet Summer Specialty. The stamp sets are Friendship Blooms and Afterthoughts. I add 2 little red gems to the centers of the flowers. I also used a grosgrain ribbon stamp from the Angel Company.

Happy Birthday Daughter

Welcome back,
Here it is Day 16. challenge card 17 and a whopping 22 cards for the year. Today I'm playing along with
Try stamping on Tuesday. It's a great sketch and once again, I used my favorite color and stamp set from Stampin' Up. This card is for my daughter. Maybe this year my family will be getting their cards on time. That will shock them all. I'm always late.

My daughter loves butterflies and flowers. I used Baja Breeze and the DSP is Parisan Breeze. The stamp sets are Simple Soft and Well Scripted. The scallop circle was done using a Spellbinder die. It is embossed and stenciled with Baja Breeze ink. I put a little blue gem in the middle of the Baja Breeze butterflies I die cut from Beauitiful Wings embosslits. I used the Scallop trim border punch on a strip of Baja Breeze and tied with a piece of white grosgran ribbon.

Hi every one,
Here it is day 15. I'm now on challenge card 16 and card 21 for 2012. Today I'm doing one challenge with the paper lovin gals. But I also had to get my club cards done. I'm the hostess of our card club this month. So I have to design and make 3 card kits for each of us. I also get to make breakfast. We get together one morning a month for about three hours and just gab and make cards.It's a lot of fun.
I'll start with my challenge card.

This challenge is to look at the picture and see what you can come up with. I needed a birthday card for my sister. I hope she likes what I came up with. I don't think she's really into the vintage look. I know I didn't like vintage at all until I started doing blog challenges.

Here's my card

I didn't have any vintage word paper, so I made my own on the computer. After cutting the panels to size, I ruffed up the edges and used Creamy Caramel ink to age the edges. I set these on a black background and ruffed up the edges on that too. My card base is Riding hood Red as is my small rosette. I cut leaf shapes from some Wild Wasabi, folded them in half and ran them through the crimper. A yellow button in the middle turns the rosette into a flower. The sentiment stamp I used is from the Perfect Punches Set.

Not one, not two, but three

Hi everyone,
It's day 14 and as of right now I'm at Challenge card 15 and 17 cards for the year. I did 2 challenges today. It's really snowing hard. You can't see a thing out the window. So why not spend the day making cards. Today I've made 2 valentine's and a thank you card. Here are the challenges I used.

The friday mashup wants us to mash up A thank you card, with designer paper.

Clean and Simple has this really nice sketch. I'm going to love using this one over and over.

I put these 2 challenges together and came up with this card.

All my papers are retired in this one. I used Close to Cocoa, Rose, white, and the pattern paper I'm not sure but I think it's The Angel Company. My sentiment is from The Angel Company and the flower is from Stampin Up, the Summer Solstice Set. The oval frame is from Sizzix and I used a Cuddlebug embossing folder to emboss it. The small piece of twine just happens to match the Close to Cocoa paper. I hope you like this one. Hold on there's more.

I made two valentine cards for my grandsons and I used the Colour Q challenge again. I just love these colors.

My middle grandson loves cats. So this one will be for him. The pocket is from Stampin Up. I found the tiniest piece of Going Grey paper. It barely fit. My hearts are punched out using Stampin Up's heart punches. I don't have a clue who makes this cat stamp. But gosh it's the cutest thing. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set. And on this one I used a Sizzix embossing plates. I don't like these. I think they are going into the get rid of box. I also used more S.U. punches, the window punch and modern label punch.

For this one I used the same challenge. I can't tell you who's stamps these are. I'm not one for keeping the packages. All my stamp sets go into CD cases.

This card is for my youngest grandson. He has a big dog so this is a good image for him

Cupcakes for Dad

Hi everyone,
Here it is day 13 for my challenge card a day for the year of 2012. Today I'm mixing it up with Freshly made sketches and The color throwdown. When I first saw the colors for the throwdown I thought those colors would work great for a fishing card for my dad's birthday. I tried, I failed. So it's cupcakes instead. Here are the two challenges I'm using for this card.

I used Baja Breeze instead of Sky Blue, because that's as close as I could get and it works . The stamp sets I used were Crazy For Cupcakes and Teeny Tiny Wishes. All my background pieces are embossed using Cuddlebug folders.Markers were used to color in the image. The flower embossed border in the middle needed something so I punched some little dots out using a 1/4" hole punch. I then window punched my sentiment.

There's more to Christmas than Red & Green

Hi everyone,
It's day 12, challenge card 12, and card 13. Today I put together 2 challenges that some would think just do not go together. But I'm doing it any ways. I'm playing along with the gang over at ColourQ and are you ready Merry Monday. I started out with just colour Q. The color combo is awesome. So I thought another Valentine card. Then I remember a friend remarking on my pink, purple, and gold Christmas decorations and I thought why not. There is more to Christmas than just red and green. So here we go, The Challenges

First I want to thank the gals over at Colour Q for choosing my card in challenge #17. I get to add another badge, Colour Queen Courtiers. Yeah! I'm so glad you liked my card. Also I need to make a correction in my note for challenge 18. I said Colour Q is a Stampin Up only Blog. That is wrong you can use any supplies you have, they just want you to stay as close to the challenge as possible. I'm sorry ladies.

On to the second part of my card.

I sat these colors in front of me and thought no way. Ah! It went together real easy. I pulled out one stamp set and bam there it is.

I had to use Basic Grey instead of Going Grey.

The card base is Pumpkin Pie and I used the Swiss Dot embossing folder for texture. My Pretty in Pink strip is stamped in basic Grey and Melon Mambo and it is also embossed with the same folder. The stamp sets I used were Delightful Decoration and Four the Holidays. I punched the ornaments out using the ornament punch and I used the scallop border punch for my Basic Grey edge. Then I added some gems and bows to the ornaments.

So there you go. An usual color combo for Christmas. I hope you like my card and I'll see you tomorrow.

Hi, here I am on day 11, challenge card 11 and card 12 of 2012. Today I'm mixing it up with the Sweet Sunday Challenge and The Paper Players. The sweet Sunday is a sketch challenge and The paper players has a LOVE theme challenge going on.

My card is Real Red and Basic Grey. The stamps I used are: The seal is from Recollection, the sentiment is from The Angel Company, and the background is from Stampin Up. The heart punch and window punch are both from Stampin Up. I used a scrap of white grosgrain ribbon and the Swiss Dot embossing folder from Cuddlbug. I water colored my seal using water color pencils and a blender pen.

I like how my seal is balancing the heart on his nose. This card will be for one of my three grandsons. Now I need two more.Well I hope you like my card. Stop by again tomorrow and see what I come up with.

Hi everyone,
It's day 10 and Challenge card 10. I'm at 11 cards for 2012. Today I belong to The Paper Players. It's a theme challenge and the theme is love in honor of Valentine's Day. The challenge is to simple create a card with a love theme.

I had fun with this one. I used this little bear from The angel company. The set has different saying you can stamp in the middle of the heart. First I stamped the bear on a piece of white card stock I had die cut from the Sizzix Scallop oval Frame. Then I stamped the bear on a piece of Pink Pirouette and a scrap of paper I found in my Angel Company stash. I cut the bear out of the printed paper and the heart out of the pink. I then pieced these all together on the bear I stamped on the white oval. I think this is called Paper Piecing. I pulled my color out of the scrap I found and they are Red Rose, Pink Pirouette, and Close to Cocoa. My Red Rose frame is embossed using the Swiss Dot Embossing Folder. My sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set. The flower were punched out using a retired flower punch. I pulled the layers of paper part by rolling the flower in my hand to separate the layers and then put them back together with a heart shaped brad, that just so happen to match my Red Rose paper.

I put my Modern Label up on the frame instead of under it because I couldn't center my bear on the white oval. I had this empty space and I think that fixed it.

So glad you came back! Here it is day 9 and it's challenge card 9. I'm also at 10 cards for 2012. I wonder how many I'll be able make! Before we get to my challenge card, I wanted to share a picture with you.

If there is freezing rain coming down and it's really cold outside. The best thing to do, is find a furry friend, cuddle up and stay warm.

If you don't have much hair and you live in the snow belt. A big furry sister is the best thing.

Okay now for my card. i'm playing along with Mojo Monday today. Wow what a sketch! I love challenges like this.

All my supplies are from stampin Up, except for the background. For that I used a Cuddlebug folder. Also the ribbon is a piece of light pink satin ribbon from another project.

Bunny in a basket

Hi everyone. Here it is day 8. Challenge card # 8. Card 9. I'm playing with Try Stampin' On Tuesday. Today it's a sketch. And I felt like playing around with some dusty stuff. Well it's not dusty any more I just clean out my stamp area. So nice, at the moment I can find everything. I wonder how long it will last! Let's get to it. Here's the sketch.

I went with an Easter card. I haven't used this little bunny in such a long time.All my supplies are from Stampin Up. Papers are: Rose Red, Regal Rose, and Rose Red DSP. My stamp sets are: Teeny tiny wishes and Serene Spring. The flower was punched using a retired flower punch and the coloring was done using the water color pencils and a blender pen.

A Polar holiday

Well it's still day seven. But the football game is on and I got bored. So I made another card. I guess I can say this is Challenge card 7. Or Maybe card 7 plus 1... I'll figure that out later. I was just looking around and I found Always Playing with Paper has a new challenge. It's called Merry Monday and it's a Christmas card a week. Sounds good to me. This week Lesley is playing with a sketch.

I love it. My card was quite easy. It popped into my head and fell out of my hands. Everything I used was Stampin Up. My papers are Cajun Craze, Garden Green, and Crumb Cake. The inks are Cajun Craze and Garden Green. And the stamp sets are Four the Holiday, Serene Snowflakes, and Polar Party. I used inks and a blender pen to color my image.

A New Baby is Coming

Hi everyone. Here it is day 7 and card 7. Didn't think I was going to make it today. Today was dog grooming day and Kellibob decided not to be good. It took them all day. It's to far from home to just come home and wait so I was stuck in The big city . BORING......... So any way I got home and found out my niece is having a baby. So I went straight to work on this card. tomorrow I'll do a challenge card.

The inside:

The line of buttons was emboss with a Cuddlebug border folder and then I colored them in with the pastel chalks that was still lying on my desk

Two challenges in one

Hi everyone,
Here it is day six and card six. Today I'm putting two challenges together. I'm creating a card with
the friday mashup and paper lovin' gals. Let's see, Friday Mashup wants to mashup pastels with a birthday card and Paper lovin' gals have a photo and wants to know what you can pull out of it.

I just thought these two challenges just fit together so well. I have a bird stamp from The Angel company that would be perfect. Only I decided to go for spring instead of winter. Yesterday I went though my stampin area and decided to get rid of some stuff. Starting with what was dusty... First thing into the box was my pastels. I'm not good with chalks and I can't remember the last time I got them out. Well guess what I did this morning? I dug to the bottom of that box and got the chalks back out.And now they are back on the shelf where they started. It's so hard to part with your stuff, isn't it? So any way here's my card.

The supplies I'm using are mostly Stampin Up:

Papers: Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Baja Breeze, Pink Pirquette, and water color paper

Inks: Cajun craze

Stamps: Woodgrain Background, Simply soft, On Your Birthday, and Nature Things ( The Angel Company)

Accessories: Punches, Cuddlebug folder, and Pastel Chalks.

Daisy Trio

Well here it is day 5 card 5. So far so good. Today I'm visiting the gang over at Freshly Made Sketches.

The colors I'm using are Rose Red and Bashful Blue and my sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set. I used a Cuddlebug border folder on my strip of bashful blue. I'm shocked at how well these buttons match my paper. The flowers were punched using a Fiskars flower punch. I double them to make them look a little more like daisy. Daises are my favorite flower. Did you know you can make jelly and wine out of them. I understand their flavor is kind of peppery.

Well here we are .. Day 4.
My card today was ratter quick and easy. I'm playing along with the Color Throwdown.

All supplies are Stampin Up. Except for the embossing folder I used on my background. That's a Cuddlebug folder. I was able to stay with the chosen colors. My stamp sets were Pun Fun and Pennant Parade. I used water colored pencils to color my little Hippo.I punched the wish big out using the Boho Blossom punch and backed it with a 1" circle and attached it with a jump ring. The ribbon is a grosgrain red ribbon.

Card 3

I'm going to try to do a card a day this year. I'm not making no promise, just going to try. Today I'm working with the colour Q. They are a Stampin Up only blog. I don't have all the in colors or all the retired colors, but you can change the color if need to, as long as you keep it close.

I really like these colors. I have the Cherry Cobbler and Pear Pizzazz. I had to use Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise in place of the other two.

The sullies I used were

Papers and Inks: Cherry Cobbler, Pears Pizzazz, Tempting Turquoise, and Melon Mambo

Stamps Sets: Four Frames, Flight of the Butterfly, Itty Bitty Backgrounds, and On Your Birthday

Happy Birthday Sketch

One more card for today. Playing along with Mojo monday. This is their first sketch for 2012. I'm going try to keep up with them this year. Do remember I said TRY.
So here's sketch #222

This is a really cool lay out. I've decided to do a birthday card and I'm using Stampin Up papers. Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Pink Pirouette and Paper Petal Patch DSP.

The sentiment is from S.U. Well Scripted stamp set and it's stamped in Chocolate Chip Ink.

My paper ribbon is embossed with a Cuddlebug folder and the flower I cut out with the Cricut, using George and basic shapes.

HAPPY NEW YEARS

Happy New Years everyone. I wish you all the best. I finished out 2011 being a stampin fool and I'm bring in 2012 the same way. Starting with The friday Mashup. It's challenge #39 and they would like to see A New Year's card with some sparkles. Well heck I thing I can do that. I don't have any stamps really related to new year's. Except of course the words, So I'll have to use my brain.

I've come up with 2 cards.

The first one. All I could think of was fireworks and like I said no stamp, but I do have a dandelion stamp that could pass as fireworks (maybe). I have a set of number stamps from The Angel company. So here's what I came up with.

I chose Cherry Cobbler as my base. On my white background a stamped and gold embossed the dandelion stamp. I wanted it to look like the sky on New Years Eve. On another piece of white card stock, I gold embossed the number 2012 and then colored them in with Cherry Cobbler marker. The Happy New years is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set and I stamp it in Cherry Cobbler. I then added 2 big gold brads. So that's card one. Hope you like it.

Now for card 2

My little mouse stamp from The Angel Company was still laying out and I thought he would look so cute hanging from balloons. I had to do a little mashing on this one, but got the little guy off his leaf and onto the balloons.

For this card I chose Real Red and white. I water colored the balloons in red, green, and gold. I also added glitter to them. I embossed my white background with a Cuddlebug folder and edged it with Real Red so it would stand out from the white card base. The red ribbon has red glitter going through it. I used a scallop punch and a oval punch for my sentiment.And that's card 2.

Dragonfly

It's not snowing today, but the roads are still not cleaned up. So my husband had to take the 4-wheel drive to work. Which means, I get to stay in my PJ's and stamp again today. I love winter!!!
This time I'm creating with the Clean & Simple team. I just love working with sketches. This is sketch #171

It's a cool lay out and I had fun with it. Every thing I used was Stampin Up, excepted for the beads and wire that I used for my dragon fly.

I made a 5"x 5" card. My colors are Pretty in Pink and Almost Amethyst. The DSP is Tea party. I used 2 stamp sets Winged things and Teeny Tiny Wishes. This is not the first time I made this dagonfly. I love dragonflies and up here where I live they are just beautiful. Their bodies are a light blue color with black stripes and their wings are really lacy looking. I love to sit at the pond and watch them. My Pretty in Pink was way to plain so I ran it though the big shot with the perfect polka dot embossing folder. and I used the modern label punch for my sentiment.

Just one more card for today. Playing along with Freshly made Sketches. This is a pretty cool sketch.

I've chosen Old Olive , Not quite Navy, and Very Vanilla. The Designer paper is Maine Blueberry.

I just love this little mouse stamp from The Angel Company and the words come in the same set. I added 3 little olive brads and that's it. Plain and simple. But cute as a mouse's ear!!

Mojo Monday 221

Still Snowing and I'm still playing. This time I'm playing along with Mojo Monday. What a great sketch.

I did both the round and square one. But I'm disappointed in the round one. Here's the square one I did.

I made a 5x5 and chose Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze. The dancing girl is from the Angel Company, Happy birthday is Stampin Up, and the little heart charm. I used the heart from Punch Potpourri and stamped it on a scrap of shrink Film using Staz On ink. I punched it out did the shrinking thing and added some jump rings. I just felt the bow alone was not enough.

Happy Anniversary

Big bad storm yesterday. Do you know what that means. I get to stay home, stay in my PJ's and stamp the day away. I love winter on the mountain. I'm playing along with the colourQ today.
We are to use White, Basic Black and one more color of my choice.

I decided to go with Daffodil Delight. Here's what I came up with.

I decided to go with an Anniversary card and most products used are Stampin Up. My card base is basic black. For my background I used a Cuddlebug folder and brayered Daffodil Delight ink on the deboss side and ran my white card stock though the Big Shot. I then matted this with a piece of Daffodil Delight card stock. The flower is from the Build a Blossom stamp set and I punched it out with the matching punch. I found this huge black button in my stash and thought it would make a nice center. I then wrapped a piece of black grosgrain ribbon around the card and added a string of pearls. My sentiment is from the Teeny tiny Wishes set and punch it out with the Modern Label punch.

Sliver Snow Flake

I just realized I didn't miss challenge #37 over at the friday mashup. They are keeping it open till Jan. 4th. YEAH
So here we go one step backwards Challenge #37
Heidi wants to see what we can do with Chip boards and Distressing.

So here is the "Mashup" Challenge :

Make a project featuring "Chipboard (Precut or Diecut )".
Or Make a project with "Distressing ( ink, scissors or the Cutter Tool Kit)".
Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Distressed Project featuring Chipboard"

I had to use cardboard because I don't have any chip board at all. But what I did have is a lid from a foil pan. I used the pan and for some reason I saved the lid.The distressing part was easy I do it all the time. Here's what I came up with.

I used Rich Razzleberry as my card base. My background is Pretty In Pink and I used the Snowflake Cuddlebug embossing folder. I then Distressed the edges with Rich Razzleberry ink and roughed up the edges with The cutter tool. The 1/2" strip of pretty in Pink has been inked with Rich Razzleberry using Wonderfully worn background stamp and edged it the same as the background. I die cut the snowflake from that piece of lid I told you about and also a 1 1/2" circle. then I layered that with a Pretty in Pink 1 3/8" circle. The stamp I used is from the Prefect Punches set and cut the middle out using the 1 1/4" circle. I also edged this in the same way. Then added a few sliver heart shaped brad and I 'm calling done.

Flowers and Butterflies

Hi everyone. hope you all had a great Christmas. Mine was super. Both my kids were home and all my grandkids. This was the first time all the grandkids were together.What a special holiday.

Moving on. It's challenge #38 over at the friday mashup. Lisa wants us to do a sketch mashed up with water coloring.

So here is the "Mashup" Challenge :

Make a project using the "Sketch".
Or Make a project using "Watercoloring".
Or "Mash it Up" and create a project using the "Sketch & Watercoloring" .

The supplies I'm using are Stampin Up:

Stamps; Summer Solistice

Inks: Tempting Turquoise, Regal Rose, Old Olive, So Saffron

Card Stock: Regal Rose, Tempting turquoise, Whisper White

Top note Die, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Swiss dot Embossing folder

I also used a Cuddle Bug flower border embossing folder and a little glitter glue.

I cut the middle flower and Butterfly out and add them on with dimensional. I added a little glitter to the wings of the butterfly and the centers of the flowers. I colored my flowers and leaves using inks and a water brush and also stippled the edges with regal rose.

Coolest Holiday

I'm mashing it up with the gang over at the friday mashup. It's challenge #36 and they're doing a color combo and a theme .

So here is the "Mashup" Challenge :

Make a project featuring "Snowmen".
Or Make a project using the colors "Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze & Basic Grey".
Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Snowman project with the colors Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze & Basic Grey".

The supplies I'm using are:

Inks, Papers and Markers are Stampin Up's- Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze, Basic Grey and Whisper White.

Stamps are from The Angel Company.

Also circle punch and scallop punches from Marvy .

My card base is Basic Grey. Using 3 different sizes of snowflakes, I stamped my background using the 3 chosen colors on Whisper White and matted that with Blushing Bride. I then stamped my snowman and colored him in with markers. I put a little glitter on his wings and flocking on his hat. Then I placed a strip of Baja Breeze across the card and add some buttons that matched up to the Blushing Bride.

Christmas Lantern

I just got a new die and couldn't wait to use it. I got the Sizzix Big XL Lanterns 3-D. I use to make lanterns all the time when I was a kid. But they never looked like this one

This is the small one and I put an electric tea lite in the bottom. It was a prefect fit. After die cutting Morphing Mauve Effects paper from Canson, I emboss it with gold using a Stampin Up background stamp. I wrapped gold ribbon around the top and bottom. I used the same ribbon as the hanger. Then I attached a gold bead and tassel to the ribbon at the bottom.

I then dressed it up a little more with a Martha Stewart snowflake, punched out of a piece of the effects paper in iced gold and placed a gold brad in the middle. I think it came out very elegant.

I think I'm going to make up a few to pass out at my family's Christmas Eve party.

an Aqua Christmas

Hope everyone had a great Thanks Giving. I sure did. I spent it with my kids and grandkids. It was wonderful. I don't get to see them to often.so my holiday was really special. Well it's time for Challenge #34 over at The Friday Mashup. This week we are to mash up Aqua, Chocolate, and White with a Christmas theme.

This was pretty easy since these are my favorite colors. And I love making Christmas cards. I choose Baja Breeze as my card base. The ornaments are Stampin Up's Tree Trimming and the sentiment is from the Angel Company. Every thing is heat embossed. Even the strings on the ornaments.I felt the back ground needed a little something, so I used the snow flakes from Stampin Up's Christmas Punch set. A couple of Stampin Up punches and a piece of chocolate satin ribbon. I'm done.

Polar Bear Christmas

This is the first time I've played along with the Freshly Made Sketches blog. I love making cards to a sketch. They really get my wheels turning and I really love Linda's design

I just got a Polar Party and couldn't wait to use it. Here is the supplies I used.

Papers- Pretty In Pink, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White

Inks- Chocolate Chip and Whisper White

Stamps- Polar Party, Serene Snowflakes, and So Many Scallops

I really like how this card came out. I gave the polar bear just little shadowing and decided to emboss the pink strip with polka dots instead of the snowflakes as planned. I added a little flocking to the scarf and hat. I think if I lived where they live I would want fluffier clothes. Wouldn't you?

Falling Leaves

I decided to play along with simply Stampin Challenge today. The theme is leaves. It's challenge # 33 and it's called leafy. Here is the card I came up with.

For colors a choose Cajun Craze, So Saffron , and Always Artichoke. The back is stamped with the wood grain background stamp and the artichoke piece is embossed with words. My leaves are die cut, then embossed and I stippled them with cajun ink. here's a close up.

The words are from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set and then punch out with the window punch. I also edge it with a little cajun ink I hope you all like my card. HAPPY STAMPING!

Just for girls

Well I'm barely going to make it for my favorite challenge blog. The dead line is within hours. It's been a ruff week. We got a new puppy and she is a handful. I'll tell ya more about here later. For now I want to get my card posted.
It's challenge #32 over at the friday mashup . It's let's here it for the girls

This weeks challenge is to mash up a girly theme with your favorite technique. My favorite technique is embossing and I love pink, flowers and butterflies. So I decided to put them all together.

I used certainly celery and pretty in pink. The stamps I choose are simply soft and kind & caring thoughts.

I embossed the background with swiss dots and for my butterflies I used the beautiful wings embosslits.Then accented them with a few pearls and tied on a green swiss dot grosgrain ribbon

I think this card is pretty girly and I'm proud of how it turned out. I hope you like it. Be sure to go over to the friday mashup and check them out.

Give Thanks

This weeks mashup over at the Friday mashup is one of my favorites. Heat embossing. I just love this technique. and we need to mash this up with a thank you. I can do this.

I had decided to go with a fall theme. But something happen with my colors. I some how went from orange red and yellow to Not quite navy and rich razzleberry. I don't know why it just happened. but any ways

I choose to use an Angel Company stamp called Autumn Swirl for the background and I heat embossed it with gold. I even gold embossed the edges. Then I colored the leaves in with with Razzleberry and Not quite navy markers. The Give Thanks is from the Stampin up set called Holiday Best. I also gold embossed this as well as the edges. I added a piece of satin ribbon and some gold brads. Then matted it to a piece of Not quite navy and add mounted this to a rich razzleberry card base.

flaky friends

We've had quite the snow storm this weekend. So now I can't get snow out of my head. I'm playing along with the friday mashup. It's challenge #30. We're mashing it up with a sketch and something recycled, renew, or reused.

One of my favorite unusual recycle items is this roll of dry wall mesh that I've been using forever. It was a half roll that was left over from a remodeling project. It's great stuff it's sticky on the back so it is real easy to apply to your paper. I've used it as my background on a piece of tempting turquoise card stock for some great texture.

My card base is chocolate chip. I found these scraps of holiday treasures DSP and some teal colored brads left over from another project. The stamp set is a retired set called flaky friends. It's one of my favorites.

Belly Band

I'm playing along with the friday mashup again. Challenge #29. When I saw they were mashing up twine and belly bands, I thought what the heck!! then realized I've done lots of belly bands I just didn't know that's what they're called. hmm belly band who knew, that makes perfect sense.

Well I never got around to cleaning up after last weeks card. I just kind of push everything out of my way. So when I started to clean up. I decided to make a little card with the scraps. It's a slider card and I used all the same supplies accept I added a little crumb cake and the saying is a set from angel company.

The inside just pulls out. I thought it came out pretty cute.

I was just getting ready to post this card when I checked the friday mashup and realized I could change this card up. So here it goes. I change the colors to soft seude and cherry cobber and of course I kept the Baja Breeze. After all it was just sitting there with that even smaller piece of Parisan Breeze. and the snowflake was just laying there too.

I think this card is a gate fold. The belly band holds it together nicely. I used the same snow flake stamp as before. You know why!! Because I never put them away.

Don't ya love this saying from the Angel Company.

Found this red button in my stash. but I didn't like the twine on it so I did away with that. I guess the twine on the belly band will have to be enough.

Well that my challenge #29 card. I hope you like it. Now I'm going to put my things away. Hopefully my next card will look a different.

Wow the Friday mashup is up to challenge 28 already. Hard to believe. I've had so much fun playing along with challenge blog and the team members are all so great. Last week we made a spooky card which was a lot of fun. After all Halloween is my favorite holiday. This weeks challenge is snowflakes and easel card. I've never made an easel card. That's what I love about this blog, I learn so much.

You got to go over there and check out all the great easel cards. Once again WOW. So here we go here's my Easel card with snowflakes. I used mostly Stampin Up products.

I choose Chocolate Chip, baja Breeze and Whisper White. Also a small piece of Parisan Breeze Specialty.I used a Martha Steward snowflake punch and a piece of Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon. The background is stamped with the snow flake stamp from the Christmas Punch set. The Happy Holiday stamp is from the Four the Holiday Set and the small verse at the top is an Angel Company stamp. I put a little crystal Snow on the snowflakes.

Spooky

It's time again for the friday mashup. And it's my favorite Halloween. I love Halloween. I don't think there is a more fun time for kids and grown ups. So anyways challenge 27 is Boo.. They're mashing up a Halloween theme with some great spooky colors. Black, concord Crush,Pumpkin Pie and Lucky Limeade.

I actually had this card already made. My card club is getting together this Wednesday and this is one of the cards I decided we'd make. I used Daffodil Delight instead of the Lucky Limeade. It was easy enough to change up. The supplies I've used:

Stamp sets: Dark & dreary --Wicked cool -- I have no idea where the stamp came from that I used to make the broken branch.

Paper: Lucky Limeade, Concord Crush, Pumpkin Pie and Black

Inks: Concord Crush, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip daffodil Delight and black StazOn

Martha Steward Bat punch

I stamped my owl, bats and the broken branch on glossy card stock in black stazOn ink. I punched a large circle out of a scrap of card stocked and used the scrap to mask off the sky and sponged Daffodil Delight in the circle to create the moon. after that I removed the scrap and covered the moon with the scrap circle I had punched out. I sponged the sky with Concord Crush. I removed the scrap circle and colored in the broken branch with chocolate chip ink. Then I sponged the whole piece with Pumpkin Pie to give it that spooky harvest moon look. I then matted it with Lucky Limeade and matted it again with Pumpkin Pie, Tearing and edging the bottom. I added a green button that matched pretty good and a piece of black polka dot grosgrain ribbon. I punched out a bat and added it in the upper corner so it looks like the bats are flying right out of the card. and used dimensionals to pop up the bat and the word spooky.

Fall and Brads

Well I'm back and it sure felt good to have paper and stamps back in my hands It's challenge # 26 over at the friday mashup. They are doing a Fan Favorite.

The mashup is a fall theme with lots and lots of brads. My collection of fall stamp sets is pretty small. But here's what I came up with.

My colors are Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla. I dress the card up with lots of gold brads because I didn't have enough of the yellow ones. I used the Sanded background stamp on all pieces and edged them all in soft suede.The little leaves on the background is from an old set I don't know the name. But it has a stamp that says sending a basket full of warm wishes. I then colored them in with colored pencils. The sentiment stamp is from the hostess set called A little bit of Happiness. I also colored these leaves in with colored pencils

I was hoping to be back by now. But after two big craft shows and a wedding, I've come down with a nasty Flue. Knocked me right off me feet. So I need another week.I'll be back next week.

Wing & bling !!!

Yea I finally got a minute to play along with the friday mashup. It's challenge 19 and Kasey is going for the bling .This time we're mashing up a color combo and butterflies and bling

The colors given to us are Marina Mist and Perfect Plum. Then we choose one more color and a neutral. I'm going with Pear Pizzazz and Crumb Cake. For the Butterflies I picked my favorite Beautiful Wings and my bling is clear Rhinestone.

I used the large Coluzzle Circle and cut to half circles. Then used the scallop trim border on the pear pizzazz and found a piece of satin ribbon that match up pretty good. The flowers are from the Still Life Stem set and I colored them with ink and a blender pen.I didn't think the rhinestones on the butterflies were enough bling so I added a little glitter. Wish I wouldn't have done that.

It still needed something so I used Perfect plum ink and the Canvas background stamp.. I think that fixes it.

Happiness Always

Here it is Monday already and I'm only just now getting a chance to mash it up with the gang from The friday mashup. This is challenge 18 and the challenge is Create a card with Glitter and Create an Anniversary Card.

It took me a little awhile but here's what I came up with. The colors I 've chosen are Baja Breeze, Cherry Cobbler, and Black I think they look really nice together.

The sentiment is from The Whimsical Words Set. And I used a retired jumbo wheel for the back ground. Once again I can't remember the name of it. I used Tinsel embossing powder on the black and cherry cobbler and on the card base I just left it as a water mark. The Baja breeze Butterflies are die cut from the Beautiful Wings die. I added a little glitter to the them and gave them pearl bodies.there was a couple of pearls left so I decide to add them on the bottom, A white grosgrain ribbon and I call this card finished.

I wish my pictures would have come out nicer. It's a really yellow kind of day out and my pictures just kept coming out tinted that's a white back drop believe it or not. Well this is my mashup card. I hope you like it. go over to the friday mashup and play along. Bye for now and happy stamping.

It's a Fairytale

Well it's Friday and time for Challenge #17 over at The fridaymashup blog. This is my last week as a Guest Designer. I had a great time and want to thank all of them for allowing me to be a part of their team. This challenge is the first of the Fan Favorites. The mashup is the colors Turquoise, Red and Black. And handmade flowers. Of course you can do one or the other, but me I have to MASH IT UP . So come on lets play!

I loved this picture. So I used it as my inspiration. My card is Tempting Turquoise and I heat embossed a retired Stampin Up background stamp and at this time I can't remember what it's called. Then I cut a piece of lace with the the eyelet border punch. The frame is a die cut. Frame, Oval Scallop and the sentiment is from the Full of Life set. I embossed everything with Embossing Tinsel.

My paper flowers were made out of coffee filters. You take one filter fold it four times so you have eight layers. Then die cut with the smallest scallop circle die from Spellbinder. I dyed each layer with Real Red Ink.

Put them together with a brad and start to pull the layers up until it looks like a flower. It's very easy. I even embossed them. I wish I wouldn't have though. It makes them look like they are plastic. The leaves I just fold a scrap of green cardstock in half and ran it through the crimper and then cut out a leaf shape.

King of the road

Well it's time again for the friday mashup. I'm loving every minute of being the guest designer this month. We're mashing up colors and a birthday theme this week

I thought these dark colors were kind of manly . So I went with a guy birthday card. I used Stampin Ups Hit the Road stamp set. But hit the road doesn't sound like a very nice birthday greetings. So I went though my stamps and found King of the Road by Inkadinkado. I think they go well together. I used Sahara Sand for my card base and used a texture folder from Cuddle Bug on the Cherry Cobbler. It needed ribbon and of course there's no Not quite Navy. So I broke out my trusted ribbon stamp from the Angel company. I use this one so much it never gets put a way. the Always Artichoke was the prefect color for the jeep. Looks like an Army jeep you think? And cat well had to color it to look like my cat Puss Puss.

A thought away

It's Friday and time to mash it up with the friday mashup. This is week three of being a guest designer and I'm really enjoying this. This week the challenges being mashed up are colors and a sketch. At first when I saw these colors I thought Christmas. But you know red and green doesn't always have to be Christmas.

I had to go easy on the Early Espresso. Seeing how I fogot to order it. My paper box only had this tiny little piece. The stamp sets I used are On Gossamer Wings and Whimsical Words. The buttons matched the Riding Hood Red so well I just had to use them. It's a beautiful day out and sun is shining brightly on the flowers in my garden and it made me think of my mom and how proud she is of her garden. So Mom this ones for you. I Love You.

I'm playing along with Mojo Monday today. This is a pretty cool sketch. I chose a Riding Hood Red base for my card along with So Saffron and Soft Suede.

I decided to do a birthday card. So for the sentiment I went to Stampin' Ups Afterthoughts set and the butterfly is from the Flight of the Butterfly.

I thought stitches were needed to make the So Saffron stand out a little. I think it was a nice touch. I like keeping my cards simple.

Vintage Mum

Lets mash it up once again with the friday mashup. Challenge 14. has turned out to be a real challenge for me. Vintage is just not my thing. I know you can do either vintage or flowers, but I'm playing with the mashup team, so my heart says I have to mash it up. I spend sometime searching out vintage cards and what I've come up with is. Collages, lace, ribbon, pearls,old buttons and worn aged edges.

With that in mind out came my supplies.

Yea this will work I think. I've chosen certainly celery for my card base. And just by chance I found a small piece of light green satin ribbon that matches pretty good. I tossed in a little peach parfait. I've had this piece of pearls left from a Christmas project. Oh look a peach colored grosgrain ribbon and the little flowers match up too.

Well this is what came out of that mess. I used the mum from the still life stem set. The lace is a piece of lace velum and the hat pin, well, why not. I aged my edges with creamy caramel and colored the mum with certainly celery and peach parfait ink.

The bow was kind of hard to make. But after an hour of working at it, I got something I liked. I think it's a nice touch.

I had a little time on my hands. which is not a normal thing these days. So I thought I'd do a couple challenges. I choose a color challenge from Ihkspiration Challenges and a sketch from Clean and Simple.

It' been awhile since I used this stamp set from stampin up. It's called C is for Cats. I used versa mark for the fish on the background and used the swiss dot embossing folder on the small piece of peach parfait.

Bridal shower for Toni

My niece is getting married in September and I volunteered to make all her cards and favors for her. Her theme is Sunflowers with chocolate and navy. She's got some great ideas and it's going to be a beautiful wedding. I wish them the best.
This is the bridal shower card. The stamp is just one of those dollar ones you pick up at Micheals. I stamped only along two edges with chocolate chip ink and colored them in with chalk. The sentiment is from the just married set from Fiskars. She really liked them and I wanted to share them with you. I had to make 32 of them. It took along time to color that many sunflowers, Toni and her mom help me put them together.

Hi everyone it's time to do the friday mashup. I'm the guest designer for July. This is so exciting. I hope you all will come on over and check us out. We take two challenges and mash them together. It's a great way to get those creative juices running. This week we're taking Red, White and Blue and putting it together with a patriotic theme. So common lets play.

I've used night of navy, red riding hood and whisper white. Now the patriotic part was kind of tough, because My stamp collection is kind of missing this theme. So I borrowed the eagle from the wildlife reserve set. The words I printed on the computer and I really don't know where I got the flag background. I do know this is the first time I ever used and I think I like it. kinda cool isn't it!. The stars are from stars and swirls.

I can't wait to see what all of you come up with.

I've got company coming for the weekend so I wanted to get right on this before things get crazy around here. It's time to mash it up again with the girls from The Friday Mashup! It's challenge 12 and they're doing a sketch with colors.

I used the Build a flower stamp set with the punch to make a poppin flower and added the polka dot texture to give it even more pop. I love this color combination. I hope you like it.

I'm looking forward to being the guest designer for July. I hope one of the weeks involves pink . Cause I am just tickled pink

A Cupcake Birthday

I had a little time on my hands and thought I'd just whip up a fast challenge card. I love these colors they make a happy kind of birthday card don't you think. And who with a birthday won't love cupcakes. So cupcakes it is.

I choose SU Crazy for cupcakes set.

I love adding texture to the background. I think it makes the card pop. Did you ever notice how people always run their fingers over the card the minute they see the bumps.

And to any one who is having a birthday today " HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!"

Here's a new challenge for ya. This will be interesting. The girls from the Friday mashup has decided to let their fans create a challenge. There's been some great ideas entered so far. So I thought why not one more.

I have a friend whose life is pretty tough and a little something could make her smile. So here's my idea.
My Mashup Challenge would be:
1. Create a Cheer up a friend project
2. Create a project using heat embossing
3. Or create a project to cheer up a friend that uses heat embossing

Well I missed The mashup last week. It was a crazy week and by the time I had my card ready, the challenge was closed. But I'm not going to miss challenge 11, that's for sure. Lisa's right about summer being short. I'm at the other end of her snow belt. Winter here are long and cold too. So I'm out side a lot these days. Just soaking in that awesome sun.

This week the challenge is a summer theme mashed up with polka dots. Don't you love that bikini top.

I choose So Saffron for my card base and added Wild Wasabi and Perfect Plum. The stamp sets is A Flower For Every Season and Polka Dots and Petals. I don't remember the name of sentiment stamp. It was a fun card to make and went together really easy.

Hi everyone. Just wanted to let you all know Hughes Net finally came at 7:00 pm last night and got me all hooked up. This is great. I thought Dial-up was going to kill me. Now I've got speed. Pictures just open up. AMAZING. JUST SIMPLY AMAZING. I think now I'll be able to take part in the outside world. But I still have every intention on bugging Holly.

Challenge Frantic!

I think I'm getting addicted to this challenge stuff. It's really a lot of fun. I'm not so sure Holly's having all that much fun. Seem I don't retain information for very long.

So any ways I put two different challenges together. I used the sketch from thepaperplayers and the color challenge from colorthrowdown.

So this is what I came up with. The colors I choose are Pink Pirouette, Perfect Plum, and Old Olive. The stamp set is Because I care and I don't know the name of the background stamp, I only know it's retired. I also used the Martha Steward button punch. I like it. I think it's cute.

Time to mash it up

Well it's Friday and time to mash it up with Holly and the gang over at the Friday Mashup.This one was quite the challenge. The colors are great and I never would of thought to put them together.

I love this bird punch and so does all the girls on the mountain that I stamp with. It's the most borrowed punch I own. I have managed to talk a couple of them into buying it though.

I guess I didn't mention I'm off the mountain for a week. Visiting my daughter and grandsons. I'm really enjoy my time with them. Holly is trying to teach me internet stuff. But for some reason she's taken up drinking every time she sit down with me. Do you think maybe I'm unteachable?

Past Friday Mashup Challenges

I was still on dial-up when I made these cards for The Friday Mashup. I wanted to share them here.This first card was for challenge 5 it was called, Embossing Nature. And guess what I got an Honorable Mention. I was so excited ..

Next is Mashup 3. Black, White, and Square all over. I really liked this one. I love Black and white cards and I really love this stamp set too. I use it a lot.

And this one is Mashup 4 It was called Let's get punchy baby".

We were to use punches and dies to make a baby project. I broke out my DSP paper on this one. It was hard to do. I love my paper and if I use it, It will go away and I'd be so sad. Go ahead and laugh, but I know there's a lot of us out there. I spend a lot of time just looking at my paper and then I put it away and make my own background. I'm working hard at fixing this little defect.

I really love doing the Friday Mashup. I think I'm getting hooked. I what to do more challenges.

Ribbon and Pearls

Hey check it out I'M BACK and it's the same day amazing!!! Here's my card for this week's Friday Mashup. It's # 7 and the Mashup is Ribbons, Pearls and all things girls.

I used Regal Rose and vanilla card stock. Regal Rose ink. The background is Bella Toile and I also used Great Friends. I think the pearls and ribbon makes it quite elegant.

I can't wait for MASHUP #8.....

I'm Back, Did ya Miss Me?

Hi everyone, I'm back. I know I've been gone for a long long time. but I just couldn't deal with the dial up any longer. So now I'm going to try Satellite. I hope it's better. Let see since I was last here whats happen. Well it still snows 8 month out of the year and rains for the remaining 4. I've gotten grayer and fatter. Kellibob is huge. She's two now but there's still way too much pup in her. Let me tell ya what she did last week. She found a cool whip bowl somewhere and played in the pond with it. Of course she just left it there when she was done playing and it floated over to the drain pipe and sucked right on to that pipe. she not only flooded the yard but the road too. The neighbors couldn't believe it. It was quite the job breaking the suction. You should of seen it when that suction was broke, Water gushed along with fish and frogs and all kinds of other critters. It was funny. We picked up the fish and left the others to find their own way back. I hope I am able to keep up this time. Wish me luck on getting Satellite.
