How to make a coffee Filter Flower

I've been ask to show how to make these little Carnations. I'll do my best.

Step 1
Fold a coffee filter in half three times to make 8 layers.

Step 2

Cut a scallop out of the folded filter using a scallop punch or the spellbinder scallop die.

Step 3

fold the scallop layers into quarters and drag across an ink pad to color the edges. You may have to fold and unfold several times to get color on all the edges.

Step 4

Unfold and pierce the center of the scallop. Add a brad. Any brad it won't be seen.

Step5

Starting from the top pull each layer up and scrunch 

Step6

After pulling up all the layers scrunch together and then begin to pull the layers out to form your flower.

There you go a cute little Carnation every time.

I hope I didn't make this harder than it really is.

While we're on flowers, Sunday I said I was going to try to make Tea roses from Tim Holtz Tattered Pinecone die. It only took 14 tries to get something that looks like a rose. I'm still not real happy with them. But I'll keep trying.
